Who won?: The Tipline for 7 November 2018
Qualcomm must license some of its intellectual property to competing chipmakers, after a court in California partially granted the Federal Trade Commission’s request for summary judgment. That decision can be chalked up as a win for the FTC, but the Department of Justice hasn’t yet left the field in AT&T/Time Warner. It has now learnt who will be part of the three-judge panel that will hear its appeal in December against Judge Richard Leon’s decision to clear the deal.
