US FTC chair calls out foreign fines

The acting chairman of the US Federal Trade Commission has criticised the European Commission and other foreign enforcers for basing antitrust fines on companies such as Google on their turnover rather than on the damage done to competition, and for using the same method to calculate fines for abuse of dominance as for cartels.
