President Donald Trump made no reference to competition enforcement during his State of the Union last night in front of several antitrust-focused potential presidential challengers, including senators Amy Klobuchar, Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker. On the subject of commanders-in-chief, former President Ronald Reagan was born 108 years ago today. His administration made its mark in antitrust with a 1982 consent decree requiring the breakup of AT&T and Bell Systems, following an antitrust lawsuit brought by the Department of Justice.
