With one of the largest antitrust teams in France, Vogel & Vogel maintains a busy full-service practice. Louis Vogel and Joseph Vogel, both Who’s Who Legal: Competition nominees, are the two founding partners. Géraldine Demme joined recently as counsel and head of the German desk. Thierry Rambaud also joined the firm recently as counsel and specialises in public law and, in particular, public competition law.

The firm continues to represent telecoms company Bouygues in several matters and acts for the company in one of the biggest damages claims following a decision of the Competition Authority. The case, which concerns conditions for tendering procedures in public works contracts for the renovation of high schools, is pending before the Paris Court of Appeal. Vogel & Vogel is also assisting Bouygues as it contests a €15 billion deal between Numericable and French mobile phone operator SFR, a transaction the firm says will present obstacles for competition. The firm’s behavioural work includes defending TF1 against claims brought by Canal+, M6, and Next Radio TV – BFMTV concerning alleged abuses of dominance in the TV advertising market.
