United States: Illinois
Amy Manning chairs MCGUIREWOODS’ antitrust group from Chicago alongside fellow partner Mark Kinghorn in Charlotte, North Carolina. The firm counts five partners, one counsel and two associates among its Chicago ranks – seven of whom are women. The team in Illinois and the wider firm focus on civil and criminal matters in the pharmaceutical, life sciences and transportation industries. While most of its work is confidential, McGuireWoods is representing staffing agency Elite in a lawsuit brought by the Illinois attorney general that the firm says raises novel questions about the scope of the Illinois Antitrust Act. The latter claims that three temporary staffing agencies, including Elite, conspired with a common client not to solicit employees from one another at the client’s facilities. The firm also counsels Fresenius Kabi and Schneider National.
