MACF’s antitrust practice focuses on merger control, and cartel and abuse of market power investigations, as well as other special procedures such as essential facilities, barriers to entry, lack of effective competition and market power procedures before the Mexican Economic Competition Commission (“COFECE”) and the Federal Telecommunications Institute (“FTI” and with COFECE, the “Antitrust Agencies”).
Our antitrust practice has a specialized group of antitrust litigators who focus on challenging rulings issued by the Antitrust Agencies with Mexican Specialized Federal Courts. This group allows our Firm to provide its clients with a comprehensive assessment of their antitrust needs from the beginning of the procedure.
Our responsibilities include several of the landmark cases related to merger control procedures, which have set important precedents in this area of the law.
