Like most other areas of public and private life, competition litigation felt the effects of the covid-19 pandemic in 2020, with the adversarial setting of a courtroom often swapped for the more forgiving environment of Zoom or Skype. Judges and counsel quickly learnt to mute and unmute themselves, as court systems across the world looked to keep the cogs running for as many cases as possible.
