Peruvian court upholds bid-rigging fines

Peru’s Competition Tribunal has upheld the Peruvian competition enforcer’s decision to fine two associations 4.05 million sol (€1,060,000) each after they colluded to rig bids for transport tenders.

Peru’s competition watchdog fined two toilet-paper makers and 14 managers on Wednesday for fixing prices – a case that involves both the largest fine handed out by the Peruvian enforcer and its first leniency agreement that has resulted in a penalty.
