Guernsey inches towards first ever competition law suspension ahead of telecoms tie-up

A government committee in Guernsey has recommended that competition rules be suspended to allow a tie-up between the island’s two largest telecoms operators, despite warnings from the local antitrust watchdog about the deal.

Jersey court throws out abuse finding

Jersey’s Royal Court has for the first time quashed a unilateral conduct decision by the island’s antitrust watchdog, ruling that the enforcer failed to show that an aircraft fuel supplier’s alleged refusal to supply and discriminatory pricing constituted abusive conduct.
