Raining antitrust: The Tipline for 28 March 2019
The weather forecast does not call for any precipitation during the American Bar Association’s antitrust spring meeting this week, but it feels like we’re being rained on with big antitrust news stories. Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling for the reversal of past consolidation in the farming industry, two major health insurers are looking to merge, and the International Trade Commission is weighing in on Qualcomm and Apple’s patent disputes. But we already have more than enough to write about, so if any judges are contemplating issuing major decisions or if enforcers are thinking about filing groundbreaking lawsuits, we recommend taking a rain-check until next week.
