Qualcomm terminates purchase of NXP

Nearly 21 months after saying it would buy NXP Semiconductors, Qualcomm has abandoned the deal and agreed to pay the Dutch chip manufacturer a $2 billion break-up fee for failing to secure antitrust approval in China.
