After repeated complaints about being “kept in the dark” on the CVS/Aetna merger timetable, Judge Richard Leon has ordered a hearing for next month to hear from critics of the tie-up. Meanwhile, the Department of Justice has succeeded in establishing a new multilateral framework on procedures after years of competition practitioners complaining about the lack of global consistency in due process. The acronym will not be MFP, but rather CAP – the framework on Competition Agency Procedures.
