No need for platform regulation, says FTC antitrust head
While the US antitrust agencies have long recognised that internet businesses can constitute a distinct market, the competition enforcers have neither the legal authority nor the inclination to impose specific regulations on online platforms, the acting director of the Federal Trade Commission’s bureau of competition said on Friday.
