An interview with Stephen Blake

Tom Madge-Wyld

07 December 2015

Stephen Blake heads the cartels and criminal enforcement group at the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Earlier this year, the agency suffered defeat in its first criminal cartel trial, despite obtaining a guilty plea from one of the cartel’s members. Tom Madge-Wyld spoke to Blake about the legacy of the Water Tanks case, the future of UK criminal cartel enforcement and how the agency is looking to reduce its reliance on leniency.
