Following the revolutionary events in Ukraine, the Anti-Monopoly Committee (AMC) experienced certain changes in State Commissioners’ team and until recently operated without an appointed head of the authority. However, in May 2015 a new chairman of the AMC was appointed by the Ukrainian parliament. The new head of the Committee has already expressed his intention to conduct effective reforms and improve the effectiveness of the authority as well as its transparency. Except for the chairman, a reshuffle of the State Commissioners team is currently the central issue of discussion in competition circles. Such interest by experts and business is natural considering that the new team will form an updated competition policy and implement competition reforms in the following years.
