Spain: Overview

The Spanish National Markets and Competition Commission (NMCC) continues its internal adjustments after the former competition commission and the main Spanish regulatory bodies merged in 2013. The NMCC has continued fighting cartels as its main priority, but merger control proceedings are regaining importance as the general economic situation improves.
