The Indian Competition Act 2002 (the Competition Act) is the law regulating anticompetitive conduct in India, and the Competition Commission of India (CCI) is the statutory authority in charge of competition law enforcement. In preventing practices causing an appreciable adverse effect on competition (AAEC) and to sustain competition in markets, the CCI is aided by its investigative arm, the Office of the Director General (DG).
