Argentine competition head resigns after a week in office

The newly-appointed president of Argentina’s regulator, the National Commission for the Defence of Competition, has left office. Santiago Urbiztondo, who was appointed by the former Minister of the Economy, Ricardo Lopez-Murphy, on March 16, tendered his resignation four days later in a move said to be linked with Lopez- Murphy’s own decision to step down.
