Alvaro Ramos nets Corporate Counsel of the Year award at GCR Awards 2018

Alvaro Ramos, global head of antitrust at Qualcomm, scooped the award for corporate counsel of the year at the 2018 GCR Awards.

He was shortlisted alongside Volkswagen counsel Jana Corinna Striezel, Vodafone's head of competition law Nick Woodrow, Abbott Laboratories counsel Nick Koberstein, Google's senior competition counsel Oliver Bethell, Deutsche Bahn AG's head of antitrust matters Tilman Makatsch and Uber's head of regulatory affairs Gail Levine.

Ramos advises on a variety of business units and antitrust matters, and has handled complex cross-border antitrust filings including Qualcomm/NXP and Broadcom’s hostile bid to take over Qualcomm. He has dealt with cutting-edge antitrust investigations and litigation in the EU, Korea, Taiwan, Japan and the US.
