With the Department of Justice’s blessing, pork farmers euthanised millions of pigs this spring as meat processing plants across the US shuttered due to the pandemic. While these pigs may not be in for any reprieve, their purchasers might. Three putative classes of pork buyers are now one step closer to filling their piggy banks with trebled damages after their antitrust claims survived a motion to dismiss.
