Superspreaders: The Tipline for 11 April 2022
EU competition commissioner Margrethe Vestager joked on Friday about the American Bar Association’s antitrust spring meeting potentially being a “superspreader” event in more ways than one. That’s definitely true for the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission, which both spread the message that they are preparing for more litigation and are not keen on accepting merger settlements. The Republican members of the FTC, on the other hand, are not so keen on spreading more cash to their agency.
