Word on the street is that the US antitrust agencies may be receiving a windfall of cash from Congress – and most of the country's 56 other competition enforcers want in on the action. Attorneys general representing 45 states and territories sent a letter on Monday that urged antitrust leadership on Capitol Hill to remember that state antitrust enforcers act as complements to the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice. It appears that Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Montana, Tennessee and Washington state are not interested in some extra funds.
