The White House is due to issue an executive order today “on promoting competition in the American economy”. Along with non-compete agreements, the order is expected to take aim at anticompetitive conduct in several areas of the economy, including international shipping. White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Thursday that “the overarching objective with the executive order is to make sure the president is encouraging competition in industries around the country.”
