The NCAA has faced its fair share of litigation over the years from plaintiffs claiming the collegiate sports association acts as a cartel. That’s why it may have come as a surprise to some in the antitrust community to see three rival conferences – the Pac-12, the ACC and the Big Ten – announce on Tuesday that they had formed an “alliance”.
