You don’t have the votes: The Tipline for 27 July 2022
Advocates for the American Innovation and Online Choice Act have been hounding Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer to bring the self-preferencing bill to the floor for a vote. Schumer reportedly told donors last night that the bill does not have 60 votes. Perhaps the pressure campaign would have been better directed at lawmakers who have not committed to voting for the legislation.
