Wright claims defamation as his clients turn away

Former George Mason University Law School professor Joshua Wright is suing two former students for $108 million, claiming they made defamatory sexual misconduct allegations that caused him to lose business from the likes of Google and Amazon.

The Federal Trade Commission and House Judiciary Committee appear to be stuck in a stalemate regardless of whether their quarrel occurs in letters or public hearings. Pressed by Republican lawmakers about the FTC’s responses (or lack thereof) to various document demands, the commission’s director of congressional relations had very little to say. “I’m not able to provide that information today, but we're happy to continue talking to your staff,” Jeanne Bumpus said.
