For the third consecutive year, semiconductor producer u-blox has filed an antitrust lawsuit against a standard-essential patent holder on grounds it failed to license on FRAND terms. U-blox might be facing more than just a SEP holder though – the Department of Justice intervened in the company’s last monopolisation lawsuit.
