An individual alleged to have fixed the price of cement has accused the Department of Justice of “prosecutorial misconduct” because certain data in the case was “inadvertently lost”. According to the Antitrust Division, the metadata suggests those files were not significant to the investigation. Also in Tipline, the Federal Trade Commission and Meta Platforms hope to set a date for a preliminary injunction hearing regarding the latter’s acquisition of Within Unlimited and the Procurement Collusion Strike Force scores another two guilty pleas.
