Elon Musk may not be willing to fight Mark Zuckerberg in a cage match but he is apparently keen on throttling Meta’s Twitter alternative. The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that X, formerly known as Twitter, has begun applying a five-second delay to rival platforms like Threads, Substack and BlueSky. Sure, this type of conduct would probably not run afoul of the consumer protection consent decree the Federal Trade Commission and Twitter signed, but Musk is poking the bear that is the Bureau of Competition.
