The price of loyalty: The Tipline for 25 April 2019
While much of the US media was focused on reports that Facebook is facing a looming 10-digit fine from the Federal Trade Commission’s consumer protection branch, the agency’s Bureau of Competition unsealed a lawsuit against an e-prescription services company yesterday. The complaint includes allegations that touch on an interesting mixture of antitrust topics: a two-sided market, loyalty contracts, non-compete agreements and competitive threats.
