The cartels of summer: The Tipline for 28 June 2019

No, Washington, DC, was not actually built on a swamp, although its summers are infamous for their humidity. The pages of the cartel matters at the Department of Justice's antitrust division seem to be clumping together due to that sticky air. The division announced additional guilty pleas yesterday in two separate cases. It also won a stay on discovery in the Broiler Chicken antitrust litigation as it pursues a criminal investigation of the alleged price fixing.
