Senator Mike Lee is going on the offensive against three airlines to defend Reagan – but not the 40th US president. American, Alaska and United Airlines are opposing Delta’s push to open up flight slots from Reagan National Airport in northern Virginia. In a series of tweets this week, the Republican from Utah teased holding an antitrust subcommittee hearing on airline competition and likened carrier executives to Mr Monty Burns from The Simpsons. Those efforts will likely not feature Lee’s longtime antitrust counsel, who is stepping down at the end of June.
