Department of Transportation officials steeling themselves to review over 10,000 comments on the proposed JetBlue/Spirit merger now have a slightly easier task ahead of them. Turns out 90% of the comments are identical, purporting to be from airline employees in favour of the deal. Yet dozens of JetBlue employees that Bloomberg spoke to claimed to have no idea that their names would be used publicly – with some even denying making any statement at all.
