Print is not dead, yet. The Department of Justice has sued to block the merger of two printing companies, claiming the tie-up would substantially reduce competition in the markets for magazine and textbook printing services. Quad/Graphics and LSC Communications both pushed back in press releases yesterday, asserting the DOJ had overstated their size in the printing market and had overlooked the fact that they compete with digital platforms such as Google and Facebook.
