Shots fired: The Tipline for 23 March 2018
While Judge Richard Leon joked that the Department of Justice’s antitrust division and AT&T/Time Warner had already previewed their opening arguments during two days of evidentiary hearings earlier this week, both sides fired the first official shots yesterday in what could be a two-month trial. The DOJ warned that AT&T will use Time Warner’s content as a bargaining weapon, while the companies attacked the work of the Antitrust Division’s expert.
