A September to remember: The Tipline for 1 September 2022

August was no vacation for the Department of Justice’s antitrust division. Yet after simultaneously trying its challenges to Penguin Random House/Simon & Schuster and UnitedHealth/Change Healthcare last month, the division has three more trials slated for September. While August only required a walk down Pennsylvania Avenue, the DOJ will rack up airline miles when flying to Fort Myers for its bid to convict an oncologist for market allocation and to Boston to try and break up an airline alliance. Another team of attorneys are scheduled to take Amtrak up to Baltimore in hopes of blocking Booz Allen Hamilton/Everwatch.
