Federal Trade Commission member Noah Phillips has informed staff that he is departing the agency this autumn. Regardless of whether they agree with his views, many in the antitrust community have admired Phillips’ openness to the public and his willingness to engage in thoughtful discussions during his four years as a commissioner. Also in today’s Tipline, the Department of Justice trims down one of its remaining broiler chicken cases and the PGA Tour says it is free to deny business with whomever it pleases.
