They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but sometimes it’s a dish best not served at all. That’s what a Kentucky-based realtor has learnt after an initial punishment of probation and 26 weekends in jail for rigging bids at a farmland auction, blossomed into an 18-month prison sentence. The realtor had filed complaints seeking to get his victim’s attorney disbarred and the licences of the two auctioneers that reported him revoked, but the vengeful seeds he planted sprouted weeds. Criminal antitrust enforcers at the Department of Justice also feasted this week with settlements against Teva and Glenmark, four separate prison sentences and a new guilty plea.
