Ready for harvest: The Tipline for 22 August 2022

It may still be the height of summer, but the Federal Trade Commission has crops on the mind. Earlier this month, Corteva disclosed in an SEC filing that FTC staff informed it in May that they will be “recommending that the agency pursue an enforcement action” against it. The warning comes two years after the commission subpoenaed documents from the crop protection company relating to “business plans, rebate programs, offers, pricing and marketing materials” for certain pesticides. No word on whether other agrochemical companies named in the Crop Inputs antitrust litigation are also involved in the harvesting.
