Bayewatch: The Tipline for 28 November 2023
NERA Economic Consulting’s Michael Baye has had a busy couple of weeks. Following a jury trial win just before Thanksgiving, which found that egg producers and trade groups conspired to restrict output, the former head of the Federal Trade Commission’s bureau of economics is now arguing for treble damages in that lawsuit. Meanwhile, he also joined a list of ex-enforcers calling on the US agencies to rethink their proposed merger guidelines.
