On pause: The Tipline for 23 March 2020
New York governor Andrew Cuomo ordered all non-essential business in the state to close at 8pm yesterday and directed individuals to remain six feet apart while in public at all times, in an executive order named “New York State on PAUSE”. Around the country, many businesses are closed as state governments aim to stop the spread of the coronavirus. We have an update on efforts by state attorneys general to fight price gouging as they receive complaints of steep price hikes on hand sanitiser, surgical masks and other health-related supplies.
