We don’t know about you, but our winter holiday plans are looking more concrete. The federal judge presiding over the Department of Justice’s bid to block Aon’s purchase of Willis Towers Watson has said he is unable to schedule a summer trial. Instead, he is expected to hold proceedings in Washington, DC, for a few days starting on 18 November and then again from 20 to 22 December. The insurance brokers had asked for the trial to start before 9 September, when their merger agreement expires.
