Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer took procedural steps yesterday to set up a vote later this week on the nomination of Alvaro Bedoya to join the Federal Trade Commission. Bedoya and the FTC have been waiting a long time for this – it’s been almost eight months since President Biden first named the privacy expert to replace former commissioner Rohit Chopra back in September.
