Several Big Tech companies have asked for courts to require the top US antitrust officials to step back from litigation against them. But House Judiciary chair Jim Jordan says recusal requests from Federal Trade Commission chair Lina Khan go a step too far, and may warrant a criminal referral. Jordan says Khan has engaged in “spurious and defamatory” attacks against a former FTC employee she has accused of leaking confidential info. Also in Tipline, the Department of Justice asks a federal court to shut down Google’s claims of unfair prosecution by assistant attorney general Jonathan Kanter.
