Federal Trade Commission chair Lina Khan is taking a page from the Reagan Administration’s playbook. For the first time since 1984, the FTC has brought a claim under Section 8 of the Clayton Act. The FTC’s enforcement action granting the conditional approval of a natural gas merger on Wednesday also further aligns Khan and company with the Department of Justice’s antitrust division – which revealed new board seat resignations over concerns of interlocking directorates.
