In flagrante price-fixo: The Tipline for 1 August 2018
One of the Federal Trade Commission’s new Democratic commissioners took aim yesterday at the agency’s habitual settlements in conduct cases, tweeting that a “flagrant violation of the law” – in this case, rival staffing services fixing therapists’ wages – should perhaps not be handled this way. Meanwhile, the New England branch of the nearly decade-long Wholesale Grocery Products antitrust litigation seems to be resolved for one of the two defendants, but the other wholesaler is keeping us from seeing what led to this ruling.
