Home is where the enforcement is: The Tipline for 27 March 2023

Big Tech might garner most of the headlines, but the US antitrust enforcers are certainly keeping an eye on the homebuying industry. Earlier this month, the Federal Trade Commission sued to block Intercontinental Exchange’s acquisition of Black Knight over competitive concerns related to mortgage loan software. Now, the Department of Justice is challenging a ruling from earlier this year that prevented it from reopening an investigation into the National Association of Realtors.
