George Mason Law graduates Elyse Dorsey and Angela Landry said on Tuesday that Joshua Wright’s defamation lawsuit violates Virginia law because it was written to punish them for accusing him of sexual misconduct. In addition to asking the local court to have Wright cover their legal fees, Dorsey says she could not have harmed Wright’s reputation by repeating an “open secret”. Speaking of open secrets, Judge Amit Mehta has asked the Department of Justice to remove from its website exhibits already submitted into the public record.
