Have your pi and eat it too: The Tipline for 14 March 2023

The antitrust world does not celebrate the mathematical constant of pi on 14 March, but it nonetheless appears that the Biden Administration wants to stuff its face. The White House has proposed an additional 44% in funding – nearly $190 million – to be split unevenly between the US antitrust enforcers. The president’s proposals would add 567 additional full-time staff to the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission, increasing the size of their enforcement apparatus by almost one-third of the current pie.
