Commissioner Christine Wilson celebrated her birthday on Sunday, but the Republican Federal Trade Commission member was rudely welcomed to a less powerful role come Monday. Following 216 days of two-to-two split, Democrats once again have an ideological majority after Alvaro Bedoya took his oath of office yesterday morning as the FTC’s fifth commissioner. If Wilson is disappointed, she’s not letting it show. “This day has been a long time coming,” Wilson tweeted. “Congratulations on getting across the finish line, @alvarombedoya!”
